Carpet Sizes
Our sizes as provided on knotted pile carpets indicate the length and width of the pile area only, excluding all fringes and edge finishes, as measured along the central axes of the item. Notwithstanding a commitment to accuracy, all sizes given should be considered as approximate.
Value Added Tax
All our selling prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.
VAT refunds for companies within the EU
Companies that are VAT registered in an EU country other than the United Kingdom & Northern Ireland and that can show a valid EU VAT number will be refunded the UK VAT at the prevailing. The prices on our website are shown with VAT included. We deliver only to the address where the company is registered. In order to check if an EU VAT number is valid you can use the link below.

Purchasing
When an order is placed, the purchase agreement is finalised when your payment has been transferred and cleared.

Oriental Carpet Brokers Ltd. handles secure card payments in collaboration with PayPal.com
Card payments via PayPal offer a secure and convenient method of payment for you as a customer. We, as the selling company, will never have knowledge of your card or account information. This information is securely transferred via an encrypted link from you through the PayPal Payment gateway to your bank.
Advance payments
If you do not wish to to make an online payment for your purchases, you can elect to pay offline and transfer the purchase money direct to our bank account. You have to pay the complete purchase amount in 5 days or your order will be cancelled. Always state your order number when paying. We will ship your purchase as soon as payment in full is received and cleared.
Deliveries
All deliveries are handled by UPS, Parcelforce or FedEx depending upon the destination to wich the order is being shipped.
We cannot ship to box addresses.

Delivery times
The normal delivery time from time of dispatch is 7-14 working-days within the EU and up to 28 working-days to destinations in other parts of the world.
Full Customer Satisfaction 30 Days Return Policy
Private individuals within the EU who purchase items from us are entitled to our full Customer Satisfaction 30 Days Return policy. Customers can return any carpet purchased within 30 days of date of purchase and receive a full refund of the purchase price. Any carpets returned under this policy are required to be in the exact condition in which they were purchased and should not have been used. You are required to pack any return items in the same way as they were when you received them. The customer returning an item(s) are required to pay for the shipping costs in both directions. The 30 days return policy appliesonly to purchases shipped within the EU. The 30 days return policy does not apply to companies or to purchases shipped to destinations outside the EU.
When returning any items you must firstly contact us in order to get a return dispatch note and full return instructions. It is your responsibility to ensure that any returns arrive in the same condition as that in which you received them. You must ensure that any return is securely packed in the same way as originally received. A return is not completed until we have received and examined the returned gods.
If we receive returned goods without the proper return dispatch note the goods will be sent back at the customer's expense. When a return is completed the same credit/debit card or bank account used for the purchase will be credited.
Exchanging purchases
You have the right to exchange your carpet for another if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase. If you wish to change your carpet please contact our customer service department and they will assist you with making your exchange. The carpet you wish to exchange must be in the same condition as it was when you purchased it and it should not have been used. The customer is responsible for all outward and return shipping costs involved in the exchange. The right to exchange goods if not satisfied applies only to deliveries made within the EU.
Certificates of Authenticity
We guarantee that all items purchased from us are genuine, authentic and handmade and comply with their descriptions as provide on the Oriental Carpet Brokers Ltd. website. A signed Certificate of Authenticity can be provided free of charge to all purchasers on request.
Errors on delivery
If you find anything wrong with your delivery, or if you receive the wrong or a damaged carpet or the wrong number of carpets, please contact our customer service immediately. Any error on delivery has to be reported no later than two days after the goods have been received; reports received later than this will not be taken into consideration.
Transportation damages
Any visible damage to the goods seen by the customer when receiving a delivery must be reported immediately and directly to UPS / Parcelforce or any other shipping agent involved upon receipt of the shipment. Any hidden damages arising from the transportation must similarly be reported to UPS / Parcelforce or any other shipping agent involved immediately upon discovery. Once any shipment damage has been reported to UPS / Parcelforce or any other shipping agent involved you should also notify our customer service department of the situation.
Shipments not received by the customer and returned to us
Carpet shipments that are ordered and not received or are returned to us will be charged full shipping costs both ways; namely onward and return shipping, plus and extra charge of £40.- including VAT for our costs.

We store the personal information you provide when placing an order or registering as a customer. By providing such information you acknowledge and accept that we store such information as we need to complete the handling and shipment of your order and provide you the best level service you expect from us.
