A highly unusual and most attractive nomadic tent rug knotted by a long-renowned Baluch sub-tribe who pasture their herds in the remote Adraskand valley in the west of Afghanistan. Of particular note is the focal design of diamond lozenges delineated in a radiating scheme of concentric latch-hook ribbons, a composition usually associated with the Mushwani Baluch and here, most probably, the result of tribal intermarriage.
